Watershed Mentorship

A community of new professionals.

Beginning March 2025.

If you’re looking to:

✓ find your voice as a professional

✓ develop your professional identity and confidence

✓ find support through the licensure process

✓ prevent burnout

✓ build community with other new therapists

✓ sharpen your business acumen

Watershed might be for you.

Grad school is only the beginning.

Teaching counselors-in-training is one of my great loves.

And, it gives me an up-close look at how, at the end of 2 or 3 years of school, you STILL may not have the tools you need to be successful and content with your life and work. I’m tired of watching students slowly lose connection to their passion during the grind of a graduate program. Watershed is designed to reunite you with your purpose.

I’m passionate about supporting you to be your best personal and professional self. When you are fully alive, present and engaged, that’s when you can be of the most help to others. We come most alive in community.

Some topics we’ll explore:

  • Counselor as a person

    • identifying your support system; preventing burnout; staying connected to your purpose

  • Navigating Registered Internship & Licensure

  • The “business stuff”

    • talking about money, insurance (clients’ and your own),setting rates, ethical marketing—all the things grad school leaves out

  • Uncovering your professional identity and voice

    • who are your ideal clients? where and how do you reach them?

    • how do you want to continue and deepen your growth?

  • Using the Enneagram for self and clients

Watershed is designed for early career professionals in the mental health field. Whether you’re entering Registered Internship or newly licensed, this is for you.

Watershed is mentorship, not supervision. It’s open to anyone in the United States.

I am a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. Membership in the Watershed cohort is included in supervision with me.

The Format

We’ll gather virtually biweekly for 2 hours of community, learning, and support.

In between our live meetings, we’ll have a private, secure digital space to share resources, reflect, and explore.

The cohort will begin in March with a half-day in-person retreat in Alachua County, Florida. We’ll close with a day-long in-person retreat in June at the same location.

THE CONTAINER

  • Ethical & Practical Guidance

The transition from counseling student to pre-licensed professional can be abrupt and confusing. I’m here to help as you navigate all the challenges of Registered Internship, from making sure you meet the legal requirements for licensure to providing support, consultation, and perspective from outside of your work site.

  • The Personal is Professional

The old model of the therapist as a blank slate is outdated. We know that the counselor is a whole, real person—and that we have to take care of ourselves well if we want to provide superb care to our clients. I use a counselor-focused approach that centers your well-being and your unique medicine as key components to your professional growth.

  • Support & Exploration

Growth happens at the pace of curiosity. In all my roles, my work is identity-affirming, inclusive, and context-sensitive. I help you accept yourself as you are while helping explore any of the ways you want to grow, and together we’ll extend this grace to your clients.

I’m on your team.

Support is self-care. I’m here to be your guide and ally.
