Find wholeness, growth, and community.

The Enneagram is a portal. A mirror. A map.

Not your average personality typology. The Enneagram is a tool for self-awareness and self-discovery. It’s a framework that allows us to live easier lives, with less conflict, more compassion, and the opportunity to break persistent habits of thought, feeling, and action.

“He who looks inside, awakens.” — Carl Jung

My work with the Enneagram is in the Embodiment tradition, which includes building awareness of our energetic selves. Embodiment, in the briefest terms, is a combination of how we monitor what’s happening inside our bodies (interoception) and how we experience being a body in the world.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”—Nikola Tesla

We make no promises about uncovering the secrets of the universe. But we can promise we’ll build curiosity, compassion, and community.

The Enneagram is a portal into self-knowledge, compassion, and liberation.

Our philosophy:

✓ you are not your personality

✓ liberation is available to us all

✓ growth happens at the pace of curiosity

✓ we grow from leaning into our shadows and struggles—and from celebrating our gifts

✓ the Enneagram is a personalized map of the conscious and subconscious

✓ to be truly free and happy, we need to engage with both psyche and spirit

Workshops

EMBODIED ENNEAGRAM FOUNDATIONS: Beyond the Personality

Whether you are completely new to the Enneagram or have some experience, this workshop will change your mind about how to use this tool. Incorporating reflective activities and discussion along the way, we cover the foundations of the enneagram of personality, introduce the embodiment tradition, and work with you to identify your instinctual drive stacking as well as your enneatype.

EMBODIED ENNEAGRAM IN MOTION: Dynamic Flow, Wings, & Growth Paths

Take a deeper dive into the embodied enneagram. We explore the dynamic movement of energy through the nine patterns as well as their passions and virtues. Expect to engage in meditation exercises and some gentle body movement to help us connect mind, heart, and body.

Workshops are offered in a hybrid format; join us in person in Gainesville or via Zoom.

Exploration Sessions

Want a more personalized experience? Take a deeper dive into what your core enneatype means for you—how does the pattern show up in your life in both overt and subtle ways? How do your instinctual type and your wing influence the enneatype? Where do you want to put your attention and energy as you work with the enneagram? How do you want to unwind your pattern so you can experience more agency, ease, and freedom?

These 90-minute sessions offer a customized and confidential container for exploration and learning. They are not therapy, but they do offer potential emotional, intellectual, and spiritual benefits. Type explorations can be held in person in Gainesville or remotely via Zoom.

Enneagram for Counselors

Want to incorporate the Enneagram into your therapy work? This group is for you! Over eight weeks, you’ll learn the Embodied Enneagram AND the Counseling Enneagram, a research-based model for using the Enneagram in psychotherapy. Open to licensed practitioners and registered interns in any state.

My (sometimes) partner in crime

Meet Elizabeth Nesbit. My dear sister is also often my teaching partner. We’ve been learning together since 2008, and teaching together since 2014.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity about people and their inner workings, Elizabeth has dedicated herself to studying the depths of the human psyche. Whether in her roles as a business leader, a cultivator of green spaces, a community organizer, or a nurturing parent, she has sought to unravel the intricacies of human behavior and development. With over a decade of experience and study, her journey with the Enneagram has been a natural extension of this curiosity, offering insights into the complexities of personality and relationships. Certified as a teacher of the embodiment approach under the guidance of Lissa Friedman, Licensed Professional Counselor, PhD, LMHC, ATR, CHT, Elizabeth is deeply committed to sharing this knowledge and empowering others to navigate the nuances of human experience with empathy, insight, and compassion.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT OUR APPROACH

  • Embodiment

What sensations in your body can you name in this moment? Feeling hungry, thirsty, relaxed, agitated? Do you feel grounded or restless? Relaxed or on alert? Do you feel swamped with emotion, preoccupied by thoughts, or distracted by physical sensations?

Embodiment is the combination of interoception and our internal and external energetic field. We’ll help you develop the skills to attune to your inner and outer experience using the Enneagram.

  • Instinctual Drives & Stacking

Are you driven primarily by your need for self-preservation, for one-on-one connection, or for belonging? Named the self-preservation, intimate, and social drives, Gurdjieff called these instincts “the Wolf”—the aspect of self that must be fed. Our instinctual stacking—the order of primacy—profoundly influences our enneatype and presentation. We’ll help you understand the role these instincts play in your type and your life.

  • Energetic Flow

The Enneagram is a living map. Carl Rogers called people “a fluid process . . . a flowing river of change” and the Enneagram accounts for that. The nine types are often looked at as discrete experiences of personality, but when you learn and feel the energetic connections among them, the system takes on a new, powerful dimension that can help us get unstuck and back in our own flow.

We’re interested in the Enneagram as a tool for collective transformation and liberation.
